Soludo Celebrates Anambra Children, Vows to Safeguard Their Future

Amidst a vibrant atmosphere of celebration and spirited performances by children, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo CFR, reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s clarion call for unified action against child bullying.

Governor Soludo echoed this campaign during the 2025 Children’s Day celebration held at the Solution Fun City, Awka, where he reaffirmed President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the collective fight against all forms of child abuse.

Delivering the President’s address, Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in safeguarding the rights and dignity of children. He reassured Anambra children that they are in safe hands under his administration, expressing firm resolve to secure their future through inclusive policies and purposeful governance.

Describing children as the bridge to the future, the Governor highlighted his administration’s introduction of free primary and secondary education in the state as a cornerstone of human capital development.

He noted that the Solution Fun City serves as a prototype of greater recreational and educational infrastructure planned for the years ahead.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngọzi Chuma-Udeh, commended Governor Soludo for his unwavering dedication to the welfare and future of Anambra children, expressing confidence in the promising prospects of the state’s younger generation.

In the same vein, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, extended gratitude to the Governor and the First Lady for their enduring commitment. She underscored that building a nurturing environment for children requires the collective responsibility of all stakeholders.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Children’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Victory Ekwunife, applauded the transformative strides of Governor Soludo across all sectors of the state economy. She particularly lauded the recent passage of the Anambra State Correctional Services Bill by the State House of Assembly, noting that it provides a comprehensive legal framework to ensure humane and effective management of offenders, including juveniles.

Highlights of the event included an inspection of the guard of honour mounted by the children, a ceremonial march-past, and a guided tour of the newly commissioned Fun City, accompanied by the Governor’s wife and children.
